It’s an Echocardiogram (ECG) Machine!
Every patient who comes through our emergency room doors with cardiac issues, from simple palpitations to arrest or arrhythmia, needs an ECG — a diagnostic test that helps visualize the heart. An ECG is most often performed immediately after a patient is triaged and is a critical part of identifying those in need of urgent treatment. Our current ECG machines are at the end of their life spans and must be replaced at the cost of $20,000 each.
Will you help?
Check your mailbox this fall for a special letter outlining the importance of the ECG and other emergency medical equipment. If just 400 donors give $100 each, we can bring these vitally important new ECG machines to North York General, so please give generously.
